Great win for Team OTBR! That puts us alone in second place, which is a nice comeback from where we started in the cellar.
Our team is starting to perform, and everyone (except Justin Verlander) is healthy. All despite sitting Nolan Arenado in favor of Kyle Seager because he had one less game this week. Arenado has been hot, and would has put up a ton more points than Seager despite having one fewer game to give us points.
Unfortunately, Basher easily won again this week keeping them at the top of our division, though we’re only 1 game back. Next week, we have Papa, who is the leader of the West division and CBS Sports Fantasy Baseball actually has at the top of the Power Rankings in the MLB Pride league. Uh-oh. Though we would have beaten them today.
Now we reverse our mistake and put Arenado back in, and bench Seager tomorrow before the games start. And maybe see about some 2 start pitchers.
The Clay Buchholz experiment was a mixed bag. He threw a gem against the Twins, but crapped the bed against Oakland. And Rubby De La Rosa is getting shelled, so it’s good thing he has been on our bench.
Jose Fernandez started throwing the other day and was hitting 99 mph on the gun. He was a rookie last year and an absolute freak of nature on the mound before having tommy John surgery. He probably won’t be back in the big leagues until next month, but if he is hitting 99 on the gun, I’m thinking the surgery was a success. Might be worth it to stash him away before someone else does.
Justin Morneau isn’t looking great with that concussion, so we need to drop him to make room on our roster.
We’re looking solid!
