Week 7 of the MLB Pride league on CBS Sports Fantasy Baseball is in the books.
Team OTBR had a great come from behind win in the MLB Pride league. We were way down coming into Sunday, but a huge day by Nolan Arenado and solid pitching by Gio Gonzalez and James Shields helped us pull it out. Not only that, but we had the most points in the league this week! Unfortunately, no bonus points for that, but it could help in a tie breaker at the end of the season.
Our team is healthy and playing to their potential. Andrew McCutchen has been on a tear since his early season injury and minor slump that followed.
But another arm is hurt, Henderson Alvarez of the Marlins has a bad throwing shoulder, and it has been revealed his UCL in his shoulder has been torn for a while. He is 0-4 with a 6:45 era, with no reason to think this guy miraculously recovers. We decided to pickup a young pitcher – Rubby De La Rosa of Arizona. In other moves, we dropped Julio Teheran, and went with a dude who has only given up 5 runs in his last 3 starts and went 8 in, 7.1in, and 7.1 in, in his last 3 starts. His name is Clay Bucholz.
Let’s see how these lineup tweaks work over the next few weeks. Definitely one of the bigger weeks in terms of moves that OTBR has made this season.
