To explain, this is a new piece I’ll be writing every week or two… it’ll be filled with some quick rants and raves of sports stories going around the world. If one piece is more interesting than the rest, please feel free to comment and and I’ll write more about the topic. Now let’s get to it.
- NBA Playoffs: All I can say is thank goodness for the Clippers and Spurs. As a casual fan, this entire first round of the playoffs seemed a bit one sided. We had three sweeps already, no brainers. Dallas and Portland like to pretend it’s a series (although Portland is still going), Chicago must’ve not realized that Cleveland awaits them and they should finish up this series already. Oh…and you can catch Atlanta/Brooklyn highlights during timeouts of the real basketball games.
- As I continue the downward spiral that is reestablishing myself as a WWE fan in my 30s…I must say that watching WWE Extreme Rules this past weekend made me a bit wishful that they bring back the Hardcore title. That produced some entertaining matches, especially with the 24/7 rule. Just saying…
- Oh Jon Jones. Seriously? I 100% agree with the decision of stripping him of the title. It’s sad more than anything. Hopefully he can one day regain what he once was. I was a fan of the fighter, not so much of the man (there’s a difference), and we can only imagine what he would’ve been. On that note…I’m glad they’ve filled the title match already. Should be a good one. Rumble young man rumble…
- It’s fight week, not just any fight week either. It is THE fight week. Pac-Man vs Mayweather, boxing’s last great big bout that should’ve probably happened 3-5 years ago. Living in Vegas the feel of the fight is in the air…and so will be the traffic this weekend.
