Wow, so it’s been 3 weeks of Fantasy Baseball in the MLB Pride league for Team OTBR, and this is the first update! Blame that on Mike’s belated honeymoon to Australia, Jason’s film festival preparations, and Ash’s new baby boy Quincey. Reasonable excuses, if you ask me.
Enough personal life, let’s talk real life….Fantasy Baseball!
So the first three weeks haven’t been too good for Team OTBR in the MLB Pride league. The bad news is that we are currently 1-2, tying us for last place in the division with one other team.
The good news is that we now have our team and league loaded into the FantasyPros premium service that we have and they have our team (with the league’s current lineups) projected to have the most points for the season.
FantasyPros has the following recommendations for our team, that I’m thinking about, since I’m managing Week 4 now:
- Drop Avisail Garcia, and add Jason Heyward
- Drop Mark Buehrle, and add either R.A. Dickey, or someone else
- Add Steve Chisek. But Santiago Casilla is a nice surprise and FantasyPros thinks Trevor Rosenthal’s control is going to eventually hurt his even though he’s been solid to date.
Now that the team is loaded into FantasyPros, we Team OTBR is going to monitor it to use it to our advantage over the rest of the MLB Pride league. It gives great analysis of our team and league. The format takes a little getting used to, but the info that it provides is great.
